Privacy Policy
Last updated: June 30, 2025
This Privacy Policy explains how AH5 ("we", "us", or "our") handles information when you visit our website at https://ah5.shop (the "Site"). We are committed to being transparent about what data we collect, why we collect it, and the choices you have.
1. The short version
Our calculators and generators run entirely in your browser. The values you enter into any calculator — your salary, your debts, your visa details, your draft invoice — never leave your device and are never sent to or stored on our servers. We do not require accounts. We do not sell your personal information. We do use cookies and third-party services (including Google AdSense, when active) to operate the Site and display advertising. Those third parties have their own privacy practices described below.
2. Information we collect
2.1 Information you provide directly
If you email us at contact@ah5.shop, we receive the email address and content of your message. We use this solely to respond to your enquiry and do not add you to any marketing list.
2.2 Information collected automatically
When you visit the Site, our servers and third-party services automatically log standard technical information: IP address (truncated for privacy where possible), browser type and version, operating system, referring page, pages visited, time spent on each page, and approximate geographic region based on IP. This information is used in aggregate for site operation, security, and analytics — not to identify individual visitors.
2.3 Information collected by calculators
None. All calculator inputs are processed in your browser using JavaScript. We cannot see, store, or transmit the values you enter. If you close the page, the data is gone. We have deliberately designed the tools this way to protect your financial privacy.
3. Cookies and similar technologies
We use cookies and similar technologies (collectively, "cookies") for the following purposes:
- Essential cookies: required for the site to function (e.g., remembering your accessibility preferences if applicable).
- Analytics cookies: if and when we enable an analytics service, to understand how visitors use the site in aggregate.
The Site is currently ad-free. We do not run any third-party advertising networks. Should advertising be added in the future, this policy will be updated in advance with full disclosure of the advertising partners, the cookies they set, and the choices available to you.
You can control cookies through your browser settings. Most browsers allow you to refuse cookies or alert you when cookies are being sent. Disabling cookies may affect some site functionality.
4. Cookies and similar technologies
The Site uses a minimal set of cookies and similar technologies. We do not run any third-party advertising networks or behavioural tracking scripts. The cookies we use fall into two categories:
- Essential cookies: required for the site to function correctly. These include the cookie-consent preference stored in your browser's local storage so we do not show the consent banner again after you have made a choice.
- Optional analytics cookies: if and when we enable an analytics service, to understand aggregate visitor behaviour and to improve the Site. These cookies are only set if you click "Accept all" in the cookie consent banner. If you click "Reject optional", only essential cookies are used.
Cookie consent
On your first visit, the Site displays a cookie consent banner asking whether you accept or reject optional cookies. Your choice is stored in your browser's local storage (key: ah5_cookie_consent) and remains until you clear your browser storage or change your choice. The Site does not set optional analytics cookies unless you have explicitly accepted them. Essential cookies (including the consent preference itself) are set regardless of your choice, because the Site cannot function without them.
You can change your cookie preference at any time by clearing your browser's local storage for this Site, which will cause the consent banner to re-appear on your next visit.
How to control cookies
You can also control cookies through your browser settings. Most browsers allow you to refuse cookies or alert you when cookies are being sent. Disabling cookies may affect some site functionality.
5. Advertising
The Site is currently ad-free. We do not display programmatic advertising, retargeting pixels, or third-party ad network scripts. If we add advertising in the future, we will update this policy in advance with full disclosure of the advertising partners, the cookies they set, and the opt-out choices available to you.
6. Analytics
If we use a web analytics service (such as Google Analytics), it may set cookies on your device and collect standard technical and usage information. We use analytics data in aggregate to understand which content is most read, where visitors come from, and how to improve the Site. We do not use analytics data to identify individual visitors.
7. How we use information
We use the information we collect to:
- Operate, maintain, and improve the Site
- Respond to your enquiries and feedback
- Measure and analyse traffic and usage patterns in aggregate
- Detect, prevent, and address technical issues, fraud, or abuse
- Comply with legal obligations
8. How we share information
We do not sell your personal information. We may share information with:
- Service providers who help us operate the Site (e.g., hosting providers, analytics providers) — these providers are bound by confidentiality obligations
- Legal authorities where required by law, court order, or to protect our rights and safety
- Successors in the event of a merger, acquisition, or asset sale (we would notify you of any change in ownership)
9. Data retention
We retain server logs and analytics data for a limited period consistent with the purpose of collection — typically 13 months for technical logs and longer for aggregate analytics. Email correspondence is retained for as long as necessary to provide the service and respond to follow-up questions. Calculator inputs are not retained at all (they never reach our servers).
10. Your rights
Depending on your jurisdiction (e.g., the EU/EEA, UK, California, Brazil), you may have rights to:
- Access the personal information we hold about you
- Request correction or deletion of your personal information
- Object to or restrict certain processing
- Request portability of your personal information
- Withdraw consent to processing based on consent
- Opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information
To exercise these rights, email us at contact@ah5.shop. We will respond within the timeframe required by applicable law.
10. Children's privacy
The Site is not directed to children under 13 (or the applicable age in your jurisdiction), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.
11. International data transfers
Your information may be transferred to and processed in countries other than your country of residence, including the United States and other jurisdictions where our service providers and advertising partners operate. We take reasonable steps to ensure that such transfers comply with applicable data-protection laws.
12. Security
We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect information from unauthorised access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. No method of transmission over the Internet or method of electronic storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
13. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated policy on this page with a revised "last updated" date. Material changes will be highlighted at the top of the page. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
14. Contact
If you have any questions about this Privacy Policy, email us at contact@ah5.shop.
This policy is effective as of June 30, 2025.
